Judge Anthony S. Beltrami was elected in November 2005 for a ten-year term commencing January 2006. He presides over civil and criminal trials as well as juvenile delinquency and dependency matters.

Judge Beltrami graduated from Bishop Hafey High School in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Pennsylvania State University.

Judge Beltrami is a magna cum laude graduate of Touro Law School, where he was the Associate Editor of the Touro Law Review, earned two Dean’s Merit Scholarships, and earned American Jurisprudence Awards for the highest grade in Constitutional Law, Professional Responsibility (Ethics), and Comparative Law.

Following graduation from law school, Judge Beltrami began his legal career as Northampton County President Judge Robert A. Freedberg’s judicial law clerk. After completing his judicial clerkship, Judge Beltrami set up a private practice in Bethlehem, where he concentrated in the area of civil litigation.

Judge Beltrami served as a part-time Northampton County Assistant Public Defender from 1994 to 1996, and a part-time Northampton County Assistant District Attorney from 1996 to 1999.

Judge Beltrami is a member of the Northampton County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, and has served as a continuing legal education lecturer to attorneys for both. He has served on the Board of Directors of Lehigh Valley Legal Services, which provided lawyers to people who could not afford representation.

In his community, Judge Beltrami has served as a Northeast Little League Coach, a board member of Sayre Child Center, a coach for the Easton High School Mock Trial Team, and a member of the Bethlehem Area School District’s Act 72 Task Force Committee. He currently serves as a trustee of the Judge Richard E. Grifo Lodge of the Sons of Italy

Judge Beltrami resides in Bethlehem with his wife, Gina, and their four children. They are members of the First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, where Judge Beltrami co-founded the Fathers’ Ministry, is a member of the Sunday School Music Team, and has served as a Sunday School Teacher for both children and adults.
