REPORTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL JURORS SUMMONED FOR MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2010--


If your summons date is MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2010, --please be sure to read this message, regarding reporting--

If order to determine whether or not you must appear for Jury Duty, please look at that 4 digit number you received in the mail within the past few days--that 4 digit number will begin with 1,2, or 3 zero's. Disregard any of the BEGINNING zero's and read the rest of that number. That becomes your juror number. For example, if your 4 digit number is 0059, disregard the beginning zero's--your juror number would be 59.

Jurors starting with the number ____1____through and including ____ _____are to report on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 9:00 AM.

ALL OTHER JURORS HAVE BEEN EXCUSED WITH THE THANKS OF THE COURT.

IF YOUR JUROR NUMBER WAS TOO HIGH AND YOU STILL WOULD LIKE TO SERVE, YOU ARE MORE THEN WELCOME TO APPEAR ANYWAY.

All Jurors are to appear at the Northampton County Courthouse at 7th & Washington Streets by 9:00 AM. However, it is suggested that you plan to arrive early, PARKING IS AT A GREAT PREMIUM. Please refer to the parking locations on the map sent to you on the bottom portion of your summons. The Parking Deck is being repaired, so please refer to the other Parking locations on the map. Please enter the Courthouse at the main entrance at the corner of 7th and Washington Streets. Once you have entered, proceed through Sheriff's Security and follow signs for initial check-in and orientation to be conducted at 9:00 AM in the JURY LOUNGE on the first floor of the Courthouse complex. Please DO NOT report to a courtroom. Jurors will remain in the JURY LOUNGE until needed in a courtroom.

Please bring with you the bottom portion of your summons with the bar code and map on it for collection when you check in.

You are welcome to bring your own reading materials.

Coffee and tea will be provided. There is a microwave and a refrigerator available for your use in the Jury Lounge.

Susan's Catering maintains the Courthouse cafeteria where breakfast and lunch are available for your purchase.

You will receive more information during orientation.
