Judge Anthony S. Beltrami

Judge Anthony S. Beltrami was elected in November 2005 for a ten-year term commencing January 2006. He was retained for a second ten-year term commencing January 2016. Judge Beltrami presides over criminal and civil trials and serves as the Administrative Judge of the Asbestos Division.

Judge Beltrami graduated from Bishop Hafey High School in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Pennsylvania State University.

Judge Beltrami is a magna cum laude graduate of Touro Law School, where he was an Associate Editor of the Touro Law Review, earned two Dean's Merit Scholarships, and earned American Jurisprudence Awards for the highest grade in Constitutional Law, Professional Responsibility (Ethics), and Comparative Law.

Following graduation from law school, Judge Beltrami began his legal career as former Northampton County President Judge Robert A. Freedberg's judicial law clerk. After completing his judicial clerkship, Judge Beltrami established a private practice in Bethlehem, where he concentrated in the area of personal injury civil litigation.

Judge Beltrami served as a Northampton County Assistant Public Defender from 1994 to 1996 and a Northampton County Assistant District Attorney from 1996 to 1999.

Judge Beltrami is a member of the Northampton County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations and has served as a continuing legal education lecturer for both.

Judge Beltrami serves on the Board of Trustees of Life Church and has served as a member of the Northampton County Criminal Justice Advisory Board. He has also served as a board member of Sayre Child Center, Lehigh Valley Legal Services, and Northeast Ministry.

Judge Beltrami resides in Bethlehem with his wife, Gina. They have four children.
